MOSLEY DISSOLVES AT THE HANDS OF FORREST
The Sugar in Shane Mosley rapidly dissolved. Mosley's sweetness was all artificial tonight, like sweet and low as in low to the canvas.
Forrest looked like a man on mission as he dominates Mosley from the opening bell winning all rounds in my view. Eight to ten rounds by complete domination... Okay, Mosley been my top pound for pound fighter for months now, lets give him one round, maybe two. You just can't shutout the world's best p4p fighter. Bottom line is Forrest beat Mosley as an amateur and tonight made Mosley look like an amateur.
In round one it was obvious both fighters were not going to give one another any respect as both show firm aggressiveness. It was the second round that determined the outcome of this fight. The aggressiveness of both fighters created a clash of heads where Mosley was cut on top of the head at the hairline.
Immediately after the head butt, Mosley stop being aggressive as to assess the damage. Forrest on the other hand continued to press the fight and catches Mosley with beautiful right hands knocking him down twice in the round. It was remarkable Mosley would get up and continue.
Mosley survived the second round and managed himself in the third. In rounds four through nine, Mosley regroups and stays out of harms way. The tenth round would be another big one for Forrest as he lands a solid body shot that makes Mosley buckle. The look on Mosley's face said it all, he was done.
Forrest continued to try and knock Mosley out in the eleventh and final round but just did not have enough fuel to get the job done.
Mosley never once tried to amass a body attack against the taller Forrest which has me wondering if Mosley was just flat out afraid of Forrest. Being afraid would certainly explain Mosley fighting to survive rather than fighting to win. Also, I'm not sure it was wise for Mosley Sr. to allow the fight to continue after the devastating knock downs in the second round. And believe me the knock downs were beyond question, injurious.
