(INSIDEBOXING) - SuperMex Fransico "Panchito" Bojado continues his journey to greatness.  On Sept. 1st. at the Don Haskins/UTEP in El Paso, Texas, Bojado will focus his pugilistic skills against Jesse Varela in what should be his final 6 round bout.  If all goes according to plan, Bojado will jump to 10 round bouts starting with his next bout scheduled for Sept. 15th. at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Bojado who has not been babied in his first 6 fights is taking the super highway to stardom.  On the road with no speed limit or roadblocks it seems Bojado is the only one who can stop himself now.

Bojado broke out of the starting box strong, leaving the other Olympians in the dust.  Bojado's manager, Joe Hernandez credits Bojado's natural boxing skills for his early success.  "He is one of the phenomenal fighters that comes around once in a lifetime.  Only the good Lord will know his future".  Said Hernandez.

Hernandez expressed he was happy with the fast pace fighting and high quality opponents.  Hernandez added, "But we will know if we are going too fast in the next two fights".  Even though Bojado has faced opponents of equal or better ring records, he has had no problem in disposing them.  Bojado is 6-0 with 6 knock outs in his first six bouts.

In Varela, Bojado faces a fighter with greater experience and a respectable record of 19-3.  The fight with Varela was originally scheduled to be an 8 round co-feature on Showtime's SHOBOX series, Aug. 4th.  Bojado was forced to pull out of the contest when he was struck with tonsillitis.

Some may say the tonsillitis was just an excuse to get out of fighting Varela.  Some were proven wrong when Bojado rescheduled the contest against Varela for Sept. 1st.  "We don't want the public to think we backed out because of Jesse being a better fighter." said Hernandez.

"The tonsillitis was painful, I'm glad it's over.  It has not effected me in training for this fight."  Said Bojado.

Bojado said, "I'm new at this, in the amateurs I'm used to just going to fight.  Now it's a little different, it's good to know something about the fighter.  All I know about Varela is he's aggressive".  When asked what he'd like to know about his opponents.

Varela, from Phoenix, Arizona would like everyone to see that hunger and determination is nothing nice to an opponent.

Varela took this fight because he knows he is capable of beating anyone.  Varela wants the televised exposure to show boxing fans who he is.  "It makes me feel good that he's not worried about me.  It gives me that much more motivation." Responded Varela when asked what he thought about Bojado scheduling a 10 round co-main event just two weeks away.

Varela and his team understand they are up against one of the strongest up and coming fighters.  Their approach is hard work and training.  Varela has been sparring extra rounds in preparation.  Varela said "He's (Bojado) fast and has good basic skills."  Varela added, "I'll put on the pressure and counter punch."

Varela brings an experienced team in trainer Joe Diaz and cutman Max Walker.  Diaz and Walker bring decades of experience to the table.  "Jesse is ready or I would not allow him to fight." Said Diaz.

Don't you just love it when an Olympian stands tall and proves his worth by fighting tough competition?  A treat boxing fans have not had in a very long time.

Bojado is scheduled to fight Eleazar Contreras (15-1-1) in a 10 round co-main event on Sept. 15th.

OUTSTANDING!

The Bojado - Varela fight is on the undercard of  the Juan Lazcano vs. Julio Avarez NABF/IBA Lightweight Championship.  To be aired on Showtime Championship Boxing 10 PM ET/PT.
