ZDEPRAWOWANY… ZWIETRZALY is Andrew Golota.

It takes a brave person to choose boxing as a career in life. The art of combat is not for people with fear in their hearts. This is why countrymen honor their champions, this is why nationalities are proud of their pugilist. Professional boxers are considered fearless heroes, warriors, gladiators, and a pugnacious person.

I’ll start a new paragraph because the name Andrew Golota does not belong in the paragraph above for he has disgraced himself and his countrymen by cowering in combat. He can now join the likes of Roberto Duran, Oliver McCall, Julio Cesar Chavez and Genardo Hernandez. A wrecking crew now simply just wrecked and coward. With the exception of "Manos de piedra" Roberto Duran these fighters left the game in shame. Duran continues to fight even today as he quickly approaches the half-century mark in age. Not being able to cope with being labeled a coward after the "No Mas" episode in his career, Duran continued to fight and challenge champions in pugilistic battle. Duran will be remembered as the boxing legend and a great champion he is with only a slight blemish, one which he struggled with all his heart to erase. Golota now finds himself on the same road as the members of the "wrecked and coward crew". Golota a gladiator no more.

Mike Tyson can be a frightening man, he is unstable and some may even say mad. His comments of killing his opponents, eating children or jamming the nose of his opponent into their brains can be disturbing. It obviously had Golota shaking in his shoes but why did Golota not just stay on the canvas when he was rocked in the first round? Instead he gets up, the round ends and he asks his corner to stop the fight (in case you did not hear, Golota while on the stool after the first round, said, "stop the fight" to his cornermen). The cornermen, ignoring Golota send him out for the second round. A round where he fought well and held his own against Tyson and may have even won the round.

What’s next for Golota? I’m not sure he has a "Whats next". Unlike Duran, McCall, Chavez and Hernandez all who were respected champions, Golota may have a hard time finding a reputable fight. Had this fight been held in Las Vegas, I’m sure the commission would have immediately held his purse. After all a fighter is contracted to fight and since Golota refused to fight he should not get paid.

Well, boxing fans expect the unexpected in a Tyson bout however, the unexpected in this fight was all Golota.
