Denver, Colorado (INSIDE BOXING, July 13, 2002) - T's KO Promotions and Arroyo Entertainment combined efforts to provide Denver area boxing fans with a fantastic afternoon of professional boxing.

The parking lot of Don Carlos Mexican Grill, 3800 Walnut Street in Denver, was cleared to provide the necessary space for both boxers and fight fans to enjoy the most comfortable setting possible.

Ringside reserved tickets were $30, reserved tickets were $20 and general admission tickets were priced at a mere $10 making the afternoon fights more than affordable for the true fight fan.

With the thermometer reaching some 97*, the heat was on both in and outside of the ring. The unbearable temperature seemed to be of no consequence to any of the fighters, all whom were quite eager to do battle.

Referees Joe Armijo and Curtis Thrasher; Judges Ed Kugler, JohnUlibarri, Rex Walker and Steve Waldman; Timekeepers Jeanne McEvoy and Jeanne DePriest followed the lead of ring announcer Louis Canella in keeping their cool, despite being ringside, for all 6 bouts.

Ice-cold Coors beer and artesian bottled water kept everyone refreshed. The fine Mexican cuisine offered at Don Carlos Mexican Grill had all in attendance loosening their belts a notch.

On your next visit to the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado make sure to visit Don Carlos Mexican Grill. You won't regret it.

Matchmaker Aurelio Martinez Arroyo (INSIDE BOXING.com) did a credible job of matching competitive pugilists, all of whom were from Colorado, to do battle.

Colorado Boxing Commission Director Josef Mason was on hand making sure all Commission rules and regulations were adhered to.

Conspicuous in their attendance as Colorado celebrities were Colorado heavyweight contender DaVarryl Williamson and newly selected 2004 Olympic boxing team coach Mike Quintana, Sr.

It was a pleasure to see in attendance Al Mitchell and world class trainer,  Ronnie Shields trainer of Mike Tyson & Vernon Forrest.

With inspectors Bryan Coston and Eric Underwood giving the "thumbs up" and tally judge Jim Donahue in place, the action was ready to begin.

Bout 6: In the final match of the afternoon the term MAIN EVENT was quite appropriate as Aaron Steadman (7-3-1) was finally able to stop a game David Sanchez (6-2-2) in round 5 of a scheduled 6 round junior welterweight match. Remember the name AARON STEADMAN. This guy has all the tools.

With 2 more outdoor fight cards scheduled for August and September, T's KO Promotions in conjunction with Arroyo Entertainment seems to be on the right track in bringing good competitive outdoor summer boxing to downtown Denver.
