BEATDOWN II – POST FIGHT CONFERENCE – WAR OF WORDS BETWEEN ALI & ROBINSON

ATLANTA, GA (IB – February 11, 2005) – At the post fight conference, following victories by both, Ali (20-0, 17 KOs) over Casandra “Black Diamond” Geiggar (6-5, 6 KOs), and Leatitia “Baby Girl” Robinson (13-0, 9 KOs) vs. Monica Nunez (9-3, 5 KOs), the war of words has began between these two champions.

While Laila was on the podium fielding press questions regarding whether “Baby Girl” would be the next opponent, Robinson decided she would invoke herself into the questioning as well.

Leatitia: “So let me ask you, will you and I be fighting next? I ready whenever you are ready.”

Laila: “Oh so now you want to start talking stuff because you get an early knockout of Nunez.”

Leatitia: “ We can give these people here a little sample now of what it would be like.”

Laila: “What do you mean by that? What do you mean that? What do you mean Chicago? ”

By this time, the two had begun to approach each other and the respective entourages had to intervene to keep the fighters a part.

All I say is, if there ever was a female Boxing match that could deliver a PAY-PER-VIEW turnout, this would be that fight! Based on what I have observed in the female boxing arena, I would say, without a doubt, Laila and Leatitia are the best two women fighters in the business today!

Is this a fight that requires more steam to be built up first? Or should the fight take place next for these ladies? You be the judge, you know what you saw on ESPN. If you missed it, ask a friend for their opinion.
