VANDERPOOL READY FOR VARGAS

Fitz Vanderpool addressed the media with this statement:

"Good morning everybody, I like to start by thanking HBO, Main Events, team Vargas, Fernando himself for accepting this fight.  This is a great opportunity for him to fight me.  I'm the WBC number one contender and on the poster I know it says it's the return of Fernando Vargas but what they forgot it's the coming out of Fitz the Whip Vanderpool.  So I know a lot of you don't know me and like I tell you right now Fitz Vanderpool is going to win this fight.  Fitz the Whip Vanderpool is going to be victorious and come July 26th it's going to be an exciting fight.  And hope a lot of people tune in and catch this fight and see what it's all about.  Thank you God bless."

Inside Boxing reporter Peter Juarez had a change to ask Vanderpool a few questions:

JUAREZ: THIS IS YOUR BIGGEST FIGHT, VARGAS ONLY HAS TWO DEFEATS BY TRINIDAD AND DE LA HOYA, DO YOU THINK YOU CAN PULL OFF AN UPSET?

VANDERPOOL: THIS WILL BE THREE, HE'S GOT TWO ALREADY THIS WILL BE THREE.

JUAREZ: WHAT'S YOUR MOTIVATION FOR THIS FIGHT?

VANDERPOOL:  MY MOTIVATION IS THEY CALL THIS HIS COMEBACK FIGHT OR THE RETURN OF VARGAS, ITS THE COMING OUT OF FITZ THE WHIP YOU KNOW WHAT IM SAYING.

JUAREZ: HOW HAS  TRAINING WITH MONTOYA BEEN LIKE?

VANDERPOOL:  ITS BEEN GREAT WE BEEN DOING A LOT OF GOOD WORK TOGETHER HE UNDERSTANDS ME AS A FIGHTER I UNDERSTAND HIM WE CLICK AS ONE AND WE GOT THE TOOLS TO GET THIS JOB DONE YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
