KIMBO SLICE KO’S TANK ABBOTT IN .43 SECONDS!!!
By Laz Izada

Coral Gables, FL (InsideBoxing.com, February 16, 2008) A full house of 6,187 fired up MMA fight fans from South Florida were on hand at University of Miami’s Bank United Center to witness the premiere of ELITEXC ‘s “ Street Certified” mix martial arts card promoted by Gary Shaw Productions and SHOWTIME.

The main event pitted two of the worlds so called baddest men in Hometown Street fighting favorite from Perrine, FL Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson (2-0) versus MMA fighting legend David “Tank” Abbott (9-14) from Huntington Beach, CA.

The fight didn’t last too long as Tank Abbott surprisingly rushed Kimbo; Kimbo responded by making Abbott feel the leather too his face by charging and connecting with quick and strong left and rights. Kimbo knocked Abbott down with a left hook then a right, then while Abbott was getting up, Kimbo finished Abbott for good with another right that made Abbott fall face first and that was it. The fight was stopped at .43 seconds of the 1st round. Kimbo seems to be the real deal and improves to 2-0. Look for Kimbo to fight again for ELITEXC sometime in May or June of this year.
