CLOUD VS. LAFONTSEE ADDED TO CICERO CHILL ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH
CHICAGO (November 1, 2006) Undefeated light heavyweight
prospect Tavoris Cloud will face Douglas LaFontsee next Friday night, November
10th, at CICERO CHILL, the next huge card of world class professional boxing at
Cicero Stadium, it was announced today by Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count
Productions.
The eight bout CICERO CHILL card, broadcast internationally on SOLO BOXEO De
Miller, is presented by Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions, HOME OF THE BEST
IN CHICAGO BOXING and Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, along with
Miller Lite and TCF Bank.
Cicero Stadium is located at 1909 S. Laramie, just minutes from the Eisenhower
and Stevenson Expressways. Doors for this event will open at 5:30pm with the
first bell at 6:30pm. Tickets, starting at $30, are on sale in advance by
calling 312-226-5800.
Cloud, 12-0 with eleven early stoppages has quickly become one of boxing’s
hottest
light heavyweight prospects. In his last bout on September 15th, Cloud stunned
the packed house at the Aragon Ballroom with a devastating fourth round knockout
of veteran Tim Shocks.
Said Pesoli, “The fans in Chicago have really taken to Tavoris. He’s a very
skilled
kid who can close the show quickly. We’re thrilled to have him back at CICERO
CHILL. Lafontsee is a heavy handed kid and should provide a tough test for
Tavoris.”
Lafontsee, from Wyoming, Michigan, sports a record of 7-1 with five knockouts.
In his last bout, Lafontsee won a unanimous decision over Jeffrey Osbourne Jr.
on July
15th in Comstock Park, Michigan.
Said trainer Al Bonanni, “Tavoris is in great shape, he’s had very good sparring
for this fight and we’re looking forward to coming to Chicago to put on another
great show.”
