February 26, 2005 - Dominic Pesoli's 8 Count Productions and Miller Lite are proud to announce details of their March 2005 installment of "THE BEST IN CHICAGO BOXING" on Friday, March 11 at the beautifully renovated Concordia Theater, 6134 W. The main event of the evening will feature a ten round welterweight cross-town showdown between KO artist Luciano "El Gallo Bravo" Perez, 12-1 (11KO's) and Germaine "Silky" Sanders, 23-3 (17KO's) in a ten round battle.

Chicago favorite Perez is coming off a 5th round destructive knockout over veteran Grover Wiley last Friday night in St. Paul, Minnesota. Since losing a very close decision in an eight round brawl this past August to Juan Buendia at the Hawthorne Race Course, Perez has put his career back on track with three knockout wins. He was last seen in Chicago hammering Jerome Elder on December 10th with a first round stoppage at the Aragon Ballroom.

The crafty and exciting veteran Sanders has built a reputation over his six year career for his crowd pleasing skillful performances and has been a fan favorite in his career at the Park West Theater, Elgin's Grand Victoria Casino and De Paul's Alumni Hall. He holds win over tough veterans Andre Cray, Otilio Villareal, Leon Pearson, Leonard Townsend and most recently stopped Frey Luis Sierra in the first round last October.
