“MACHO” MIGUEL HERNANDEZ HEADS TO MIAMI ON FEBRUARY 10TH FOR MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT

January 15, 2006 - Coming off a terrific performance last weekend against Butch Hajicek on the SHOBOX undercard in Cicero, IL, “MACHO” Miguel Hernandez, 18-3 (9KO’s) will battle Ryan Davis, 19-4-2 (8 KO’s) of St. Louis, MO for the WBC USA Middleweight Title on Friday, February 10th at the United Bank Center in Miami, FL, it was announced today by Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions,

Hernandez, one of Chicagoland’s most popular fighters since turning professional three years ago, won a unanimous decision against Hajicek, with a dominating performance as he smothered the tough North Dakota native from the opening bell, dropping him three times over the course of the fight.

Said the classy Hernandez about his crowd pleasing, action packed performance, “I felt great right from the start. My conditioning was terrific and I was able to start very well. Butch was a very tough, heavy handed guy but I was able to move well and
avoid his punches while staying aggressive.”

Speaking further about conditioning and training, Miguel said “No matter who I fight in the future, I won’t cheat myself. If someone beats me, they’ll have beaten the best of me. Dominic puts me in a position to succeed and it’s my job to be 100% prepared for each
fight and that I will be, starting with the Hajicek fight and with the upcoming Davis title fight.”

About Ryan Davis, Hernandez, the father of three sons, said, “He was a terrific amateur, a multiple time Golden Gloves champ. I’ve wanted to fight him for a while and this is another great opportunity for me to test myself. “
