Boxing, Wednesday, July 13th at the Gary (IN) Riverboat Casinos (Trump & Majstic Star) at Buffington Harbor

June 16, 2005 - Super heavyweights (over 220 lbs) will headline the July 13th professional boxing card at the South Shore Events Center at the Gary, Indiana Riverboats at Buffington Harbor. Undefeated MIKE MOLLO of Chicago will face his toughest opponent yet when he goes up against Troy Weida of Kewannee, Illinois in the 10 round main event.

Mollo has never gone the 10 round distance in his 12 bout pro career while Weida has been in against some of the best in the world such as former world champs Vladimir Klitchko, Orlin Norris and 'Merciless' Ray Mercer.

Two Lake County residents are also scheduled to appear on the 7:30 pm card. Devin Lopez 2-1, of Merrillville is scheduled for a four round middleweight bout, while Ms. Amy Yaratovac of Whiting, (IN) will make her professional debut against Willicia Morehead of Milwaukee.
Gabriel Navarro 1-0, of Chicago has agreed to a 4 round prelim match on the undercard.
