MAJESTIC STAR CASINO, GARY, ANNOUNCES A PROFESSIONAL BOXING SERIES TO TAKE PLACE ON SITE

(February 13, 2004) - The Majestic Star Casino, based at Buffington Harbor in Gary (IN) will host a series of five professional boxing cards beginning March 19th, 2004.

The March fight card featuring two time world Champion Randell Bailey, "The Black Rhino" Clifford Etienne (Mike Tysons last opponent) and NABC Female Champion Kristy Follmar, will be held at the South Shore Events Center at the Majestic Star complex.

Follmar, 12-1, of Cedar Lake, Indiana, a recent university graduate will defend her NABC featherweight title against Liz Drew of Bloomfield, Missouri in the 8 round main event of the 6 bout program.

Area boxers, Warren Moore, Gary, Jimmy Holmes, a school teacher from Demotte, and Johnny Novack of Hammond will appear in prelim bouts.

Majestic Star executives Dan Ihm and Chereise White are directing the boxing series. The March event will be indoors, the next three events will be held outdoors on the Majestic Star Lake front and are scheduled for June, July and August. The Star plans to be agressive in bringing
entertainment to their Lake Michigan Casino Boat complex, and professional boxing is only a small part of that program.

Tickets for the 8pm boxing card are on sale at all Chicago area TicketMaster outlets and are priced at $50.00, and $35.00, for reserved seating and $20.00 for general admission seats.
