Faruq Saleem-Heavyweight on the Rise!

August 12, 2003 Newark, N.J.- Newark’s Faruq “The Dream” Saleem is destined to be the heavyweight champion of the world. The heavy-handed Saleem is 6’7” and weighs 246lbs. Saleem has recorded 27 KO’s en route to compiling a perfect record of 31-0.

Saleem is promoted by the legendary duo of Butch Lewis and Michael Spinks. Saleem’s manager is Malik Abdullah. Malik & Jamaal Abdullah are Saleem’s co-trainers. His coach/cut man is Nelson Brison.

Saleem is eager to fight the best fighters in the world. Butch Lewis Productions has done everything possible to get big name boxers to fight Saleem. Saleem’s annihilation of fellow heavyweights is the reason. Saleem’s hard punching ability, heart, work habits and opposing promoters wanting a piece of Saleem also factor in.

Despite all obstacles, Saleem will fight on August 21 at The Dover Downs Resort & Casino in Delaware. Otis Tisdale (20-11-1, 12 KO’s) will have to do for now. Saleem is a consummate professional. He takes every opponent seriously. “I respect all boxers. You can’t take anyone lightly in this sport. If you do, you can be killed in the ring,” adds Saleem.

“The Dream” nickname for Saleem is no joke. Saleem’s dream is to be the heavyweight champion of the world. Saleem is a very courteous, religious and respectful young man. He is ferocious in the ring.

Saleem will not be denied his dream. He continues to stay focused as he just piles up the wins and KO’s. Team Saleem is poised & ready for big fights. Saleem respects all fighters but wants his chance to be a legend in boxing. In the meantime, his “DREAM” will stay alive!
