World title contender and NABA welterweight champion Chris Smith will instruct a PAL boxing clinic for youth participants on Thursday, May 27 at the New Queens PAL center in Jamaica, NY. The PAL boxing clinics are part of a community program for DiBella Entertainment's Broadway Boxing presented by Mohegan Sun series, a monthly series featuring New York City fighters.

Smith will square off against Vinroy Barrett (20-3, 11 KO's, Nashville,TN) in a 12 round bout for the NABA Welterweight Championship in the main event when DiBella Entertainment in association with North East Promotions brings the second installment of Broadway Boxing Presented by Mohegan Sun to the Mid Hudson Civic Center on June 4, it was announced today by DBE president Lou DiBella.

A welterweight phenom hailing from Queens, New York, and the 1997 New York Golden Gloves Champion, Smith has a ring record of 17-0-1, including 10 wins by way of knockout. Nicknamed "The Mechanic," Smith trains at the legendary Gleason's Gym in Brooklyn. Smith scored a unanimous eight round decision against Darien Ford on April 22 in the Broadway Boxing premiere. Smith is ranked ninth by the WBA.

Tickets are priced at $100, $75, $50 and $25, and are available at the Mid Hudson Civic Center box office, at TicketMaster locations, ticketmaster.com and by calling 845-454-3388.

The show will be broadcast by HDNet in high definition and on Madison Square Garden Network, and throughout New England on standard cable. The cards will originate from venues in the five boroughs, the greater New York Metropolitan Tri-State area, and Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Mohegan Sun is the series site sponsor. HBO Sports, Everlast Worldwide, Turner Construction, Gallagher's Steak House and Punch are also sponsors.
