Lyons broke his arm after being hit while finishing up his sparring for the rematch and is now in a cast. More

Alexander, 12-0-1 with two knockouts of nearby Camden, New Jersey, will be on the show to talk about his big rematch with Marty Lindquist that will take place on Friday February 9th at The Legendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia. More
Philadelphia (January 29, 2007)—This past Saturday saw the first boxing event in Sweden in thirty-seven years and heavyweight Joey Abell was the talk of the night.
Abell moved to 11-1 with eleven knockouts as he stopped Ergrin Solmaz of Germany in two rounds of their scheduled four round bout in Gothenberg, Sweden. Abell put on such dominating performance that the corner of Solmaz threw in the towel after the end of the round.
“He stole the show and he is ready to avenge that setback” said longtime matchmaker Don Elbaum who was in the Scandinavian country to watch Abell’s impressive performance. More

Philadelphia, PA, January 6-Kassim "The Dream" Ouma, who stole the show on the Showtime-televised fight card Saturday evening with a one-sided blowout of J.C. Candelo, says he is ready, willing and eager to fight any qualified junior middleweight in the world.
Ouma's list of potential opponents includes Shane Mosley, Oscar De La Hoya, Winky Wright, Fernando Vargas, Javier Castillejo, Daniel Santos, Roman Karmazin, Travis Simms and Vernon Forrest.

PITTSBURGH, PA (Inside Boxing, August 3, 2002) - Iron City Pro Boxing & WPAL hosted a Pro-Am event at Pittsburgh, PA's new D.L. Lawrence Convention Center. The bouts featured some local seasoned pros and new local amateurs. The night consisted of many hard fought bouts, including TKO's, KO's and an unforgettable upset. This card was a second in a series of twelve events, with the third card scheduled on 28 September 2002. The main event featured Etianne "E.T." Whitaker 26-6-2 with 14 KO's from Warren, Ohio against seasoned veteran, Sam Calderon 12-6 with 2 KO's from Youngstown, Ohio in an eight round light heavyweight bout. Averaging almost one fight a month, this was Whitaker's 35th fight in 37 months. In a slow first round, Whitaker took charge by going to Calderon's body. More
