P 3 Boxing show

March 25, 2008 - Finnish P 3 Boxing returns to the Kiisa Hall in Helsinki for the second time this year and stage a show April 18. The bill is headlined by jr welters Juho Tolppola, 20-4-1, and Dennis Shafikovs, 14-0. Tolppola, who challenged for the EBU title last time out, face Argentinian Walter Sergio "Polvorita" Gomez while the unbeaten Shafikovs square off against American Shawn "the Educator" Gallegos. Both fights are non-title and scheduled for ten.

Ville Piispanen, 10-0-1, also at jr welter, face Dominican Christian Frias, who fights out of the Netherlands, in a scheduled eight-rounder.

Swedish female welter Anna Ingman is also on the bill but will of course have to get through her fight on Thursday in Gothenburg to make it happen.

P 3 Boxing´s big star, former EBU middle champ Amin Asikainen is not fighting April 18. "Idi" Amin and manager Pekka Maeki have of course a close eye on how the middleweight division develops during April with a special interest in the Sebastian Sylvester vs Javier Castillejo bout April 12, a fight that is both a final WBA eliminator and a EBU title defence by Sylvester.
